Having spent last week wondering whether Baby Harding really wanted to emerge, we decided to get proactive this past weekend. A couple of long, bumpy walks on the moors (see picture) had little real impact, although thanks to everyone who has suggested ways that we might be able to encourage things along!
Abi has had a heavy cold for the past week, so sleeping has been a bit of a trial. Being constantly tired probably hasn’t helped prepare for the inevitable effort required, so perhaps our little one is waiting until Abi is feeling better??????
Abi has a scheduled visit to the mid-wife today (Monday), when she’ll be able to make sure that everything is still ‘in the right place’ to allow a homebirth, although she will also have to discuss what happens if there is still no natural progress by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, I’m off to work to try and get further ahead of myself, having planned to probably be taking some time off at present! No doubt if I get stuck into something, that’ll be the cue for things to happen………..
More updates as and when!

1poor abi! very frustrating. Find a pebbly beach. Both mine were induced by a walk on a pebbly beach within 12 hours. I am officially an old wife.
